The liberation of women in South Korea was brought about by Japanese colonial rule. The Japanese provided “modern education” to girls who had been confined to their homes simply because they were female. But that’s not all. The Japanese abolished Korea’s caste system (a form of slavery), opening paths to success for both men and women of lower classes based on their abilities. However, the reason we don’t have to bow to the Japanese today is that all of this was done for their own benefit. It wasn’t out of pity for the oppressed slaves and women of Joseon that they did the “right thing.” The prosperity of the Japanese Empire required a large workforce, and since the noble class owned most of the slaves, the caste system had to be abolished. And since half of those slaves were women, women’s liberation was also necessary.
If you look at the history of so-called “democracy” in countries like Britain or the United States, the story is the same. At no point in history has humanity abolished slavery or liberated women for the sake of doing the “right thing.” With the Industrial Revolution, the need for labor shifted from local farms to urban factories, and the factory owners and investors had the power to change national systems. The media, politicians, and activists were bought off, and thus, alongside the Industrial Revolution, slavery was abolished and women were liberated.
The foolish masses began to believe in the illusion of “democracy,” but in reality, true democracy has never existed in human history. A system that requires election funds ranging from millions to billions of dollars, from local council members to the presidency, can hardly be called democracy. How many citizens can mobilize millions of dollars to run for office? Most people never even come close to saving that much money in their lifetime. Therefore, democratic elections are nothing more than a feast for the wealthy. “Plutocracy” is a more accurate term. The idea that we live in an era of democracy is an illusion.
In the process of taking labor away from households and local aristocrats, capitalists and state powers used the guise of abolishing slavery and liberating women. This self-serving global human rights campaign was successful. Slaves tied to landowners became slaves to capitalists in the cities. (It’s peculiar that they are now called “free citizens.”) Liberated women became comfort women for a small group of wealthy men. With a little money and the pretense of a relationship, these men could have as many women as they wanted and leave them whenever they pleased. There was no need to keep them as concubines and provide for them. The urban harem was born, where men could play with multiple women and end things when they got bored. Conveniently, female activists, who served as handmaidens to male capitalists, began promoting the idea that sex should be “light and free.” Through Hollywood, they brainwashed women into believing that virginity was not precious but a “sticker to be ripped off.” Long live women’s liberation! The worst nightmare for these male capitalists would be if all women married by the age of 24.
But a problem caught the eye of these self-serving individuals. The female slaves they had educated and placed in factories and offices under the banner of liberation were declaring their freedom from slavery upon marriage. With affordable housing, a husband’s income could start with a single room and, over a decade, grow into a decent three-room house, allowing couples to live happily. If this continued, most women would retire early, driving up the value of male labor. Conversely, if women stayed unmarried and continued working, the potential labor pool would double, reducing the need for wage increases. Thus, there arose a need to discourage women from marrying and to drive up housing prices. Female activists were tasked with promoting the idea that “career is everything in a woman’s life” and that “family is a shackle.”
Were there more happy couples in the 70s and 80s, or are there more now? Whether it’s infidelity, domestic violence, jealousy, or depression, people are far unhappier today. What about single women? The vast majority of voice phishing victims are young single women. Their rates of depression, insomnia, and panic disorders are skyrocketing. Yet feminists continue to claim, “Women’s rights have improved compared to the past, but there’s still a long way to go.” Will women truly become happier by becoming more independent and assertive, as feminists suggest? If women were given a lifetime of financial security and everything between men and women were perfectly balanced at 50:50, would women be happy?
Scientifically, men and women are distinctly different. In many aspects, they are not “equal.” For instance, even assuming the same body size and level of physical activity, men’s physical strength is incomparably greater than women’s. Men’s skeletal and muscular structures are specialized for aggressive actions that overpower others, particularly using the upper body, with dozens of times greater efficiency. Bone density and structure differ, allowing men to exert physical force more effectively using leverage. Women’s skeletons, on the other hand, are more “flexible and aesthetically pleasing.” Men’s bones are built for strength, while women’s are for delicate tasks or display. Even archaeologists note that female skulls are more curved and beautiful.
The differences aren’t just physical. Mentally, men and women are also distinctly different. Studies on IQ show that, regardless of nationality or race, men’s IQ distribution is more “fat-tailed,” meaning there are more men at both the highest and lowest ends. Women’s IQ distribution, however, is more clustered around the middle. In other words, geniuses and fools are more likely to be men, while women tend to fall in the middle range. Children learn language from their mothers, who are more likely to be in the middle range, which is why human language is called the “mother tongue.” There’s no such thing as a “father tongue.” It’s far better for children to grow up hearing reasonable speech from their mothers than incomprehensible or foolish words from their fathers.
Mentally, men excel in recognizing patterns and spatial relationships, which forms the basis for logical reasoning. This makes them adept at developing and using tools. Women, on the other hand, are distinguished by their agreeableness—greater empathy and tolerance. This might explain why women are more vulnerable to voice phishing scams. Men are strong in “therefore” and “so,” while women excel in “even so” and “anyway.”
Men and women are inherently different, designed to complement each other. Arguing over which gender is superior is utterly foolish and pathetic. It’s natural for more women to meet the admission criteria for universities in Seoul, just as it’s natural for men to dominate the top departments at elite schools. Neither gender is inherently smarter. Just because women are more susceptible to voice phishing doesn’t mean men can call them foolish. Without the comfort provided by women’s empathy and tolerance, men’s lives would be a desert of death.
Both democracy and feminism are nothing more than self-serving propaganda based on partial truths. They are empty promises, like a rice cake without filling or a kimbap without contents. There is no “demos” in democracy, and no “feminine” in feminism. Feminism discards the scientific traits and strengths of femininity, promoting the idea that entering male domains is liberation and success for women. Most men work not for self-actualization but to provide for their families. Why, then, does feminism force women into the same battles men dislike? Worse, it now encourages young girls to take male hormones and undergo sex-change surgeries.
No matter how you look at it, modern feminism is masculinism. It claims that femininity is inferior and worthless, so all women must acquire masculinity, while simultaneously arguing that male masculinity is harmful and must be neutered. Yet, despite this, men are naturally drawn to women with clear feminine traits, and women to men with clear masculine traits. You can fool some, but not all. Those who fall for the propaganda are the fools, just as those who fall for voice phishing are the victims. The result of swallowing the sweet bait of “freedom” and “liberation” and rejecting the idea of being “ladylike” is men confidently walking into women’s baths, unisex bathrooms, and men dominating women’s sports and sweeping medals.
Amid all this, there are still many brainwashed single women, like victims of voice phishing, who argue that oppression and discrimination against women are the real issues. Traditional female oppression failed to properly value femininity. Just because women are less likely to be geniuses, have weaker spatial perception, or lack logical reasoning doesn’t make them inferior. Men, who learn language from their mothers and cannot live without women’s empathy and包容力, have no right to call women inferior. When a man meets such a woman, he will love her with his life. He has no choice. Feminists should examine how a man comes to love a woman so deeply that he would sacrifice his life for her, and how a woman, in turn, vows to do anything for such a man. In that, you will find the beginning and end of humanity. And why the most sublime love is rooted not in “freedom,” “pleasure,” or “happiness,” but in “responsibility” and “sacrifice.”
