A Woman’s Youth

If I had to choose just one priceless treasure in this world, it would be “a woman’s youth.” Men seeking marriage partners, advertisers looking for product models not limited to a specific age group, and even female consumers themselves all prefer a pretty young woman in her 20s over a stunningly beautiful woman in her 40s. It’s as if the most beautiful woman in her 40s is less desirable than the 100,000th prettiest woman in her 20s. This is even more true in today’s world, where dieting and plastic surgery are commonplace. If everyone gets plastic surgery and diets, the only differentiating factor left is age.

A young woman seems to illuminate her surroundings as if she has built-in lighting under her skin. She brightens not only the eyes of many but also softens their hearts. Only young women are capable of exuding freshness even after drinking heavily until late at night, having greasy hair, waking up late, and simply throwing on some clothes. No matter how much feminists shout about de-corseting or whatever, this fact remains unchanged.

What is it that makes young women shine so brightly from within? Scientifically speaking, it can be described as the “vitality of the ova.” Unlike men, who continuously produce sperm until death, women store approximately 400 ova in their lower abdomen throughout their lives and release about 1-2 ova each month outside their bodies starting with menstruation. That means at least 12 ova are released each year, and all of them are released between the ages of 40 and 50. It’s easy to see that the intensity of the light of life emanating from a woman’s skin is directly proportional to the number of these ova.

A man’s sperm is small in size, and its contents consist only of “genetic information.” It’s like a plant seed. It simply withers and dies unless planted in soil with sufficient nutrients and water. A woman’s ovum contains information but also holds the vital nutrients for germination. A new life is born when the genetic information from the man meets the woman’s vitality (nutrients). Information can be copied almost infinitely, but vitality cannot. A woman is born with the vitality for 400 lives within her body. And when she reaches childbearing age, she sheds blood once a month, releasing the vitality for one life. Eventually, after about 400 months from menarche, after releasing all of her vitality, a woman begins to live with the vitality for one life, just like a man. Along with the few children born from those 400 ova.

A man lives with only the vitality for one life from birth until death. Therefore, most men don’t radiate light or soften their surroundings simply by existing for more than a decade in their youth. Some women might argue that “handsome men” are different, but the beauty of young men has little influence among men and mainly exerts influence only in the narrow dating market, especially among some sexually driven women suffering from appearance complexes. It’s not something that is emitted on average and universally like the light emitted by young women.

This temporary light of life emitted by young women has immense value. If used wisely, that light of youth will draw a man’s lifelong love, bring new lives into the world, and contribute to making the world a slightly better place by becoming a model for others through a well-managed household and well-raised children.

Even if used unwisely, its value is still exerted. They can make large sums of money that ordinary men could only dream of by selling their bodies, secretly sell their bodies to wealthy clients in business to increase sales, or exploit men for various financial, material, and psychological gains using their bodies as bait. Human traffickers know this best. Regardless of the soul, a young woman’s body itself has inherent monetary value.

However, young women must seriously consider the fact that they paid nothing to obtain such valuable youth. Just as we didn’t pay our parents for our lives, and just as parents received life for free from their parents, a woman’s valuable youth is also given “for free.” It’s as if the Creator has given it to them, saying, “I will give you this precious and infinitely valuable, yet temporary, youth, so use it well.” That’s why there’s this passage in the Bible:

“Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.” Proverbs 2:17-18

A woman’s youth itself acts as a “guide” for her. It illuminates the path in a dark forest and whispers the way at crossroads. It whispers what should and shouldn’t be done. And it implies a covenant with the Creator. It can be interpreted that a woman who misuses her youth, given as a gift along with such guidance and a covenant, ultimately leads not only herself but also her household to death. A similar concept in Eastern proverbs is ‘傾國之色’ (gyeong-guk-ji-saek), which means “a beauty that can topple a nation.” It can be inferred that a woman’s youth (beauty) has been a very important thing throughout history, both East and West. (It’s interesting that there are no passages in the Bible that specifically emphasize a man’s youth.)

Since ancient times, there has been something that hostile nations have done to attack each other. This act, frequently found in history, is “corrupting the young women of the opposing nation.” If a woman’s youth can be bought and tasted anywhere for money, or if it feels like a used item that has passed through many men, men will not feel the need to form families and protect them with their lives. If, in addition to that, feminism spreads and creates a social perception that the patriarchy is harmful and that men’s hard work is nonexistent or even harmful, that nation will inevitably collapse. People will not get married, or even if they do, they will not have children and will quickly divorce, and even if they have children, they will not be able to raise them into proper human beings. This is the story of our country with a current birth rate in the 0.7 range.

Young women should think carefully about how best to use the valuable youth they received as a free gift. Whether it should be used for experiencing orgasms, for making more money, or for cleverly using it to gain various personal advantages. What will they do when time flies by like an arrow and they have fewer than 100 ova left? What will they do if all 400 ova disappear without ever being conceived into life? How should they use it so as not to incur the wrath of the one who gave them the gift?
